Art @ the Library – Trish Whitburn

Tumut Library

Come and support local artists by visiting the latest exhibition at Tumut Library.

For June, the featured artist is Trish Whitburn.

Trish Whitburn is a Wiradjuri artist from Tumut, with ancestral connections to the Ngunnawal people from the Yass region.

In 2022, Trish’s painting Doomut Bila (Tumut River) by Moonlight and Daylight was a finalist in the National Capital Art Prize.

Trish has a strong connection to her local community, and this is reflected in her vibrant artwork.

Trish has been commissioned to produce pieces for local health centres, community groups and schools, with her artwork being widely acclaimed across the region.

Tumut Library is supporting local artists by providing a free exhibition space.

A new artist is featured every month and artworks can be for sale.

Interested artists must live or work in the Snowy Valley Council area.

Entry is free.
