Schedule Update
From 1 July 2026, the Mobile Library schedule will adjust due to the cessation of service to the Snowy Valleys Council. Please review the changes and the updated July-December 2026 schedule attached below.
Major changes:
- Ardlethan: Service day now Thursday 9:00am-12:45pm (fortnightly)
- Ariah Park: Service day now Thursday 2:00pm-3:30pm (fortnightly)
- Barmedman: Service day now Monday 9:15am-10:15am (four-weekly)
- Mirrool: Service commences Monday, 27 July 2026, 9:15am-10:15am (four-weekly)
- Naradhan: Service commences Monday, 6 July 2026, 10:30am-11:30am (four-weekly)
- Tallimba: Service day now Monday 9:45am-11:00am (four-weekly)
Visit time changes (same day and frequency as current schedule):
- Pleasant Hills: 10:45am-11:45am
- Rand: 2:15pm-3:15pm
- The Rock: 1:15pm-2:45pm
- Ungarie: 12:30pm-1:45pm
- Urana: 1:00pm-3:30pm
- Yerong Creek: 10:00am-11:00am
Mobile Library users in the areas surrounding Khancoban will be able to collect reservations and pickup items from the Khancoban Preschool. Enquiries: tumbalibrary@svc.nsw.gov.au.

The library branch that comes to you!
RRL’s iconic mobile library is a familiar and welcoming sight in the rural and remote communities it serves.
On Friday 3 October, 2025 our old library was retired and replaced with a brand-new library trailer.
This is the fifth mobile library since the service began in 1978.
The mobile library travels 60,000 km a year, visiting 18 rural and remote communities in the shires of Bland, Coolamon, Federation, Lockhart, Snowy Valleys and Temora.
The iconic library truck contains books, DVDs, magazines, and audiobooks for all ages, as well as public access computers and free Wi-Fi.
It also serves as a hub for community connection.
