Special Delivery by Leesa Ronald

I picked up this debut novel because I have a soft spot for rom-coms and enjoy light/easy reads between heavier stuff – palette cleanser anyone?

Poppy moved back to her hometown of Orange NSW, single, jobless and pregnant, which was never the plan. Her best friend lives hundreds of kilometres away and her ex refuses to pick up the phone.

As Poppy stumbles from crisis to crisis while juggling new-found motherhood solo, she learns that to build a future, sometimes you need to let go of the past. And often, the strongest relationships are those you forge when you’re at rock bottom.

This romance brings to life a colourful array of characters that readers can easily see themselves in. Ronald does an incredible job of portraying them as multifaceted individuals, with their own flaws, quirks and struggles.

Leesa Ronald’s Special Delivery is a delightful enemies-to-lovers storyline for fans of witty banter, humour and relatable characters. With its strong Aussie roots, heartfelt and deeply human moments, it offers more than just a love story – it delivers a wonderfully authentic slice of regional life.
