TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

The Riverina Regional Library (“RRL”) is running a Refer a Friend Competition (“Competition”). RRL is constituted by 11 Councils (“Member Councils”): Berrigan, Bland, Coolamon, Cootamundra-Gundagai, Federation, Greater Hume, Junee, Leeton, Lockhart, Snowy Valleys, Temora. The competition is open to all residents and ratepayers of an RRL Member Council.

Information for the Competition

  1. Information on how to enter forms part of these Terms and Conditions.
  2. Participation in this competition indicates acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and any entry not complying with the Terms and Conditions is invalid.
  3. The competition opens 12:00am (AEST) Monday 6 July 2026 and closes 11:59pm Monday 31 August 2026 (“Entry Period”).
  4. The competition is open to anyone who is a resident or ratepayer of an RRL Member Council. Participants may be all ages. Employees and contractors (and their immediate families) of RRL and its Member Councils may enter the Competition but are not eligible to win.
  5. Entries are only valid if they are received during the Entry Period.
  6. The prize will be drawn at random from the valid entries on Thursday 3 September 2026 at the Riverina Regional Library Administration Centre, 2 Galing Place, Wagga Wagga, 2650. Riverina Regional Library reserves the right not to select any entry or award any prizes.
  7. The winner will be notified by telephone or email and will be required to collect the prize from an appropriate RRL branch.
  8. If any winners cannot be contacted or do not claim their prize by Thursday 17 September 2026 a new winner will be drawn at random.
  9. The prize is not transferable and non-redeemable for cash.
  10. The prize value is correct at time of publication of these conditions, but no responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of any prize.
  11. If any prize is unavailable, RRL may change the prize with a prize to the equal value.
  12. RRL reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this competition. RRL may also, in its sole discretion disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, including but not limited to registering multiple accounts or under an alias.
  13. To ensure privacy, referrer details will be cleared from any registered member following the successful awarding of prizes. Any other personal information collected when joining the library will be retained for the purposes for providing library services.
  14. There are three prizes to be awarded:
    1. First prize: $250 voucher to Riverina Adventure Sports for use on a kayaking or skiing adventure of your choice.
    2. Second prize: $75 voucher to a cinema of your choice within Australia that allows the purchase of vouchers.
    3. Third prize: Child at Heart hamper from Junee Licorice and Chocolate.

Participating in the Competition

  1. There are two ways to be eligible to win a prize:
    1. All newly registered members who join and verify their membership at one of RRL’s 22 branches within the Entry Period, are automatically entered.
    2. A current member of RRL must refer a new member to join RRL during the Entry Period. The new member must provide the library card number and name of the referrer during registration. The referrer will receive one entry per verified new member referred.
  2. New members must verify their membership within the Entry Period by visiting one of RRL’s branch libraries with proof of identity and address. This is done by library staff when registering in-person, however online registrations require this in-person verification to be eligible.
  3. New members can register in person or online and will receive an entry regardless of whether they input a referrer.
  4. New members who register within the Entry Period are eligible to be referrers provided they verify their own membership within the Entry Period.
  5. Participants can enter the competition more than once in the following ways:
    1. Receive one entry for joining if they are not already a library member, and/or
    2. Receive one entry per referred new member if they are already a library member.
  6. RRL may require a potential winner to provide proof of age, residential address, and identity before awarding the prize.
