I’ve never really felt compelled to do a book review until now – this was a story I didn’t want to put down.
Atlas: The Story of Pa Salt is a beautifully written finale to the Seven Sisters series by Lucinda Riley. I was introduced to the series by two colleagues who raved about them, and after whizzing through the first seven books, I was captivated. Naturally – like each of the sisters – I needed to know more about the mysterious Pa Salt and how his adopted daughters came to be in his life. This story did just that. Through some very clever writing, interweaved with lessons in history, geography and life itself, the authors revealed the tale of Pa Salt’s troubled upbringing, and the circumstances that brought each of his seven daughters into his world.
The way this story tied the previous series together was just brilliant. For me, it completed the series just as it was meant to. It has left me wanting to go back and revisit each of the sisters’ stories to recall where each connection was made.
Such a good read!
