What is my username and password?

You may be required to enter your library member number, for example R123456 (this is the number on the back of your member card). Your password is your date of birth expressed as DDMMYYYY – for example 05091965 (5 September 1965) –  no spaces and all numerals except for the R in the member number.Please contact your local library if after entering your password (date of birth) you are unable to gain access.

Digital downloads and online service: hours of operation

Online products are not accessible during the hours of 1.50am to 4.00am due to maintenance requirements. eLibrary products that have already been loaned and downloaded are still accessible. The library apologises for any inconvenience.

How do I find library resources?

You can use the library catalogue to find information for resources located in all the branch libraries of the Riverina Regional Library.

How many items can I borrow?

RRL library members may borrow a maximum of 30 items in total.

How will I know when my materials are due?

At the time of borrowing, you will receive a date due slip with your borrowed items. Keep this slip as a record of items borrowed and when they are due. You can also access your own records through Member Services. If you have registered an email address on joining, you will receive a courtesy email notifying you that your loans are soon due.

May I borrow if I don't have my card with me?

It is best (and fastest!) to use your card. Some libraries may make an exception if you present photo ID.

Can I borrow material from another Riverina Regional Library (RRL) branch library?

If an item is not part of your local library collection, but is available at another branch of RRL, it can be obtained for you. Ask staff for help or make your reservation onlineLearn how. Your member card is required when reserving an item. The same card must be presented when collecting the item. We will let you know when the item arrives either by letter, SMS or email. A fee of $1.00 applies for each reservation, payable when you visit the library.

You are also welcome to visit any branch library that belongs to Riverina Regional Library to borrow or return items.

Can I reserve an item that is out on loan?

If an item you want is already on loan, it may be reserved for you by a staff member at the library. You may also reserve an item online – learn how. Your borrower’s card is required when reserving an item. The same card must be presented when collecting the item. A fee of $1.00 applies for each reservation, payable when you visit the library.

Can I borrow material from another library that is not Riverina Regional Library?

Resources not held by any Riverina Regional Library branch library and are difficult to source by other means , can often be obtained from another library in Australia. For information on this inter library loan service, please ask at your local library – Fees apply.

How do I renew my library items?

You can renew your loans online through member services, by telephoning any branch library of RRL or the Riverina Regional Library Headquarters 0269269771.

Should I notify the Library if I change my address?

YES! Let us know whenever you change any of your information. Log into member services with your member card number and password/PIN (which is your date of birth expressed as DDMMYYYY). The only letter is the capital R at the beginning of the member number.

Member Number: R012345 (R, zero, one, two, three, four, five)

Password/PIN: 05091960 (5 September 1960)

What happens if my books are overdue?

As a courtesy, we will mail, SMS or email you. Fines will begin to accumulate and the items will need to be returned. Members can renew their items online through member services or telephone any one of RRL’s branch libraries to renew items over the phone. To access online services, members will need their username which is the member card number and  the password which is the member’s date of birth expressed as DDMMYYYY – below is an example

R023456 (the only letter is the R all the other digits are numbers)

07041956 (the password above denotes someone with a birth date 7 April 1956)

Please contact your local library if after entering your password (date of birth) you are unable to gain access.

May other people use my card?

Yes, it is possible for others to use your card, however, everything checked out on YOUR card is YOUR responsibility.

What if I lose my card?

It is vital that if your card is lost or stolen it is reported to your library immediately. We can then prevent others from using it. There is a replacement charge of $2.00 for a new card. Please see the fees and charges schedule.

When is Storytime?

Early Literacy programs such as Baby Bounce, Toddlertime and Storytime are held at different dates and times at each branch library. Contact your local library or visit the Kid’s page for further information.

Where can I return items if the library is closed?

Some libraries have after hour chutes. Make sure you push the items in far enough for them to drop at the other end.

How do I join Friends of the Library?

Some of RRL branch libraries are fortunate enough to have a Friends of the Library (FOTL) group. FOTL is a group which forms a link between the Library and the community. Members meet to undertake activities which focus on their interest in libraries, books and reading. Support is provided for projects that improve services offered by the library. You can pick up an application form at the Wagga Wagga City Library circulation desk or contact your local library.
