Holbrook Library
Friends at the Library is a brand-new initiative in the Greater Hume Council libraries designed to bring people together in a relaxed, welcoming space.
On the second Friday of the month, Holbrook Library will open a space for adults in the community to meet new people, share a laugh, and enjoy some simple activities.
Drop in for a friendly game of cards or board games, try some mindfulness colouring, or simply sit down for a chat with fellow community members.
Come along on your own or bring a friend; there’s always a seat at the table.
It’s all about creating a comfortable space where connections can grow. And this is just the beginning!
We’re hoping to expand the program with creative craft sessions, interesting guest speakers, and other activities shaped by community interest.
Whether you come along to play, create, or just connect, Friends at the Library is a great way to spend some time and meet new faces in your local community.
Upcoming dates for 2026 are: Friday 8 May, 12 June, 10 July, 14 August, 11 September, 9 October, 13 November, 11 December.
This program is also running at Culcairn, Henty and Jindera Libraries.
